Our Story
Behind every comfort bag is a story of courage, love, and the belief that one child's experience can change the world.
Cami Cares began with Cami's own experience with cancer. At 14, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and faced the fear, pain, stress, and isolation that can come with treatment and recovery. Those difficult moments stayed with her and inspired her to create something that could bring comfort to other children facing cancer.
She created Cami Cares and the Comfort Bags to bring moments of joy during hard days, help children feel a little less alone, and remind them that someone who understands what they are going through is thinking of them and cares.
