She created Cami Cares foundation and the comfort bags to help them cope with the experience.

Cami Cares makes comfort bags for pediatric cancer patients and and delivers them to the children in the hospital undergoing treatment. The bags and the attention provide comfort, happiness and the knowledge that others understand and care about them.

The idea of Cami Cares began when 14 year old Cami was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and the experience that she went through. Through the treatments and surgery she felt the pain, sadness and feeling of aloneness that many times affect children more than adults when going through cancer.  

Cami decided she wanted to do something for children going through cancer treatment helping them feel they are not alone.
